This episode mentions that 13% of Americans don’t believe in God, but “unfortunately”, few of them identify themselves as atheists.

Why “unfortunately”? Does the label matter that much?

I’ve recently been disappointed by a bias against those who behave in a Christian manner without actually being Christians. But I feel that the fourth through sixth meanings of the adjective definition of “Christian” are more important than the noun. Shouldn’t the same be true of those who behave atheistically without necessarily being an atheist?
